Turnaround Time
The current turnaround time for custom cups is stated on the homepage. This means your cup will be completed within the timeline shown of receiving your order for a cup I supply or receiving your cup for a send-in order. Sometimes I am able to get cups out sooner, but because my process takes a lot longer than epoxied or powder coated cups, this turnaround time is really not very flexible.
If your cup is needed sooner, you must reach out to me prior to purchase to see if I am able to accommodate your order.
Customization Information
When ordering from Slay the Day Crafts, please understand your cup will not be made with epoxy or powder coated. All my cups are made with CrystaLac products which are all water based and durable just like epoxied and powder coated cups, but are often thinner than epoxy and won't yellow or change the cup color like both epoxied and powder coated cups might have the potential to do. To learn more about the process, please visit the VIP Group and click on the Featured tab to see several posts explaining my process in detail.
Care Instructions
When ordering a customized cup, it is important to adhere to the following care instructions:
- For the first 30 days after creation your cup will still be curing/hardening. It is able to be used with care once you receive it, but will continue to harden over the next few weeks to an even more durable state.
- Epoxy-free products are NOT heat safe, so you cannot place them in the dishwasher or microwave
- Hand wash your cups, but do not soak them in water and dry them immediately. Wash with alcohol-free products (ie, not Dawn Power Wash).
- While your cup is more protected once coated, it is not bullet proof. Please take care when using your cup as it can crack if banged or dropped, just like any other customized cup.
Potential Imperfections
When ordering a handmade cup it is very important to understand there will be minor imperfections and variations that do not take away from the beauty or functionality of your custom cup. No two cups will be exactly the same, no matter how hard I try. Stray pieces of glitter and/or airborne particles can become a part of the finished product.
This is typical of any type of cup not made by machine, including epoxied and powder coated cups. While I do take every precaution to ensure your cup will be to your liking, perfection simply is not possible. By purchasing a handmade cup, you agree to the potential for these minor imperfections. If when you receive your cup there is a major imperfection or issue, please reach out to me so I can work to rectify the situation.
Send-Ins Disclaimer
If you are not sending in a cup, please disregard.
When sending in a cup to Slay the Day Crafts, you release Slay the Day Crafts from any liability that may occur with your cup. I will make every effort to ensure your cup is returned back to you in the same overall condition it was sent (obviously not including the customization portion). While it is rare for me to have an issue with a cup, it must be acknowledged that there is always a risk when sending in your own cup, especially older and/or dyed/already customized cups, and you assume that risk by sending me your cup.
To avoid potential issues, it is requested that handles are removed prior to sending to me. If you cannot remove the handle, I will do it for you, but you assume the risk of a bracket breaking or other potential issues. Again, I will take care to try to avoid this from happening, but I cannot be held responsible for factors beyond my control.
I cannot replace cups sent to me that are no longer readily available on the company's website or cups that have been dyed or customized with makers that are not part of my collaboration team. If your cup holds sentimental value, is hard to find, or is already partially customized by someone else, you assume any risks associated with all unexpected issues.
Shipping Disclaimer
If you are local and not having a cup shipped, please disregard.
If you are sending me a cup, you agree to pay the shipping cost to have it sent to me. Once I receive your cup, I will do a video unboxing to show you the condition the cup was received. If there is an issue related to transit, you and I will work together to file a claim with the shipping carrier as needed. I cannot be held responsible for any cups arriving to me damaged.
While I do my best to avoid any shipping issues, once the cup leaves my possession, I cannot be held responsible for shipping delays and/or damage during transit. I will pack your cup with care and will insure it based on the monetary value I understand the cup to have. If you are sending a high value cup, please inform me of the amount you paid (you must have proof of this if we file a claim) so I can be sure it is insured properly prior to shipment.
All cups are sent via USPS and my mail carrier picks them up directly from me or I drop them at the post office directly. When I send you a picture of your completed shipping label, your cup will be picked up/sent out the following day unless you hear from me otherwise. Sometimes the tracking information does not update properly in their system, but you can be assured the package will ship as indicated in my shipping message to you.
Refund Policy
Since all cups are customized, there will be no refunds unless a mistake is made on my part. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please reach out to me directly to discuss potential options. While a refund may not be a possibility, I will work with you to ensure you receive a satisfactory solution.
Subscription items (when offered) are final sale and must be canceled before renewal to avoid charges.
